
McKinley and TCDC Award College Scholarship to Local Student Immanuel Greer
Taylor, MI – July 3, 2025 — McKinley and the Taylor Community Development Corporation (TCDC) are proud to celebrate Immanuel Greer, a recent graduate of Taylor High School and one of this year’s scholarship recipients. Immanuel’s remarkable journey—marked by resilience, dedication, and exceptional talent—exemplifies the strength and potential of Taylor’s youth.
Immanuel and his grandmother have lived at the Courtyards for the past six years, crediting her unwavering love and sacrifices for shaping the person he is today. Immanuel graduates with an impressive legacy at Taylor High, where he excelled both on the field and the mat. A standout athlete, he played football for the Griffins all four years, earning a spot on the Varsity Team when he was a sophomore. In addition to football, he also wrestled and helped take the team to Regionals. Beyond athletics, Immanuel possesses a rare gift—a photographic memory—that further highlights his extraordinary potential.
Immanuel is one of two scholarship recipients, which will aid him in his mission to serve his country by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. There, he plans to pursue a career as a pilot while exploring additional opportunities in engineering. His courage, ambition, and commitment to excellence make him a shining example of leadership and perseverance. Immanuel looks forward to serving is country and giving back, while learning skills that will help him achieve his goals.
