Timothy Endicott, Senior Sales Associate at Monterey Lake Apartment Homes has been involved in the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando for the past two years serving as their Charity Chair. Last year, Tim raised over $20,000 for many local charities and continues to raise money in 2009. His latest fundraiser "Central Florida Jeans Day" raised over $5,000 for two local charities, the Russell Home, which is a non-profit home for severely handicapped children and 4C, Community Coordinated Care for Children, Inc. Tim will be receiving an award "Volunteer of the Year" on August 28, 2009 at the Florida Apartment Association.

Ann Arbor, MI We are pleased to announce Jason Schaller has been promoted to Vice President and Regional Director for the Southeast Portfolio. Jason began his career with McKinley more than ten years ago starting in a temporary position on the central construction crew to help pay for his college education. During his tenure, Jason has grown and gained expertise and responsibility in a number of areas both on real estate owned and in our client services portfolio and in the important art of developing talent. During his time at McKinley, Jason has been responsible for over $30 million in renovation and redevelopment and just prior to accepting his new assignment was leading the Client Services teams in Virginia and North Carolina. In his new role Jason will lead our 300+ team members in the Owned Residential Portfolio in Florida and Georgia as we continue to grow our presence and our portfolio in this region. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Jason serves as President of the Rock Cystic Fibrosis Committee and worked with the Ann Arbor Neutral Zone Capital Campaign in a successful building redevelopment. The shopping center, located adjacent to the Summit Place Mall, includes tenants such as Applebees restaurant, ABC Warehouse and Power House Gym. Waterford Town Square is McKinleys fourthcommercial workout property in the Metro Detroit Area along with Lincoln Park Shopping Center, Justins Music and 17625 Warren Avenue. The property is located in Oakland County and the appointment for it was made by the Oakland County Circuit Court.

Michigan CEOs are pessimistic about Michigans economy in the coming months but believe the national economy will hit bottom and begin to improve, according to a survey released Wednesday by Detroit Renaissance Inc. and the Michigan Business Leadership Council. The survey of 60 Michigan chief executives found approximately 90 percent forecasting the same or lower employment and Michigan capital investment over the next six months. Sixty-eight percent said they expect the Michigan economy will worsen over the next six months, while 80 percent believe the U.S. economy will be the same or improve. Looking ahead 18 months, 80 percent of those surveyed believe Michigans economy will stay the same or worsen, with 49 percent saying the economy will be the same and 31 percent expecting further decline. However, 78 percent of CEOs believe the U.S. economy will be in recovery. In a news release, Doug Rothwell, president of Detroit Renaissance and the leadership council, said the survey results should be informative to state policymakers. The leadership council is a statewide group of corporate executives that meets throughout the year to discuss ways to improve the economy and make Michigan a more competitive place to do business, The results show two things: First, Michigan cannot expect to grow out of its fiscal crisis anytime soon so it must make structural budget reforms, and second, major changes are needed to stimulate economic growth in this state, Rothwell said. |
