Ambassador Ronald Weiser Receives Distinguished Citizen Award
On December 10, 2008 the Great Sauk Trail Boy Scout Council of the Boy Scouts of America presented McKinley’s founder, Ambassador Ronald Weiser with the Distinguished Citizens Award for community leadership, service and philanthropy during their 14th Annual Dinner held at Barton Hills Country Club.

Ann Arbor, MI - On December 10, 2008 the Great Sauk Trail Boy Scout Council of the Boy Scouts of America presented McKinley’s founder, Ambassador Ronald Weiser with the Distinguished Citizens Award for community leadership, service and philanthropy during their 14th Annual Dinner held at Barton Hills Country Club.
The Great Sauk Trail Boy Scout Council is responsible for providing Scouting programs to 10,000 youth in southeast Michigan. The awards dinner, while honoring Ambassador Weiser also helped raised funds for the local Boy Scout Council.
During the presentation, Charles Crone, Executive Vice President of the Great Sauk Trail Council stated “the honoree, through his deeds and actions, has proven himself to be a fine example of the principles of Scouting.”
Special tributes were made to honor the Ambassador by his son, Marc Weiser, his daughter, Elizabeth Caswell, Chief Justice Clifford Taylor and longtime friend and business partner, Albert M. Berriz. Additionally, the Ambassador’s son Danny Weiser and grandson Rollie Caswell served as Boy Scout Honor Guards during the event.
