McKinley, a real estate investment firm headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is pleased to announce the successful disposition of Chippenham Square, a 185,000 square feet shopping center located in Richmond, Virginia.
On August 11, 2006, Capmark awarded McKinley a contract for property management and real estate advisory services at Chippenham Square. At the time of takeover, the property was in significant disrepair. McKinley’s focus was operational efficiency and a complete transformation of the landscaping and appearance of the property. Property enhancement efforts included clean up of exterior and interior space, landscaping, graffiti removal, new lighting installation for security measures, and replacement of a significant portion of the roof.
Chippenham Square was sold last Friday, July 24 to private investors resulting in a wonderful outcome for its client. By creatively applying its solid record of success and property management expertise, McKinley was able to create value and allow for a successful disposition.
